New project

Finally!! A rescue for all those outfits on top of our dresser!
Under $8, and I had a blast making this :)
Keith oversaw production. He went with me to Lowes to get a 1"x8"x8' board and 6 drawer pulls.
I fixed it up to match our bedframe and then distressed it.

Steve mounted it, then hung a picture frame, too.

Pingue (who for the duration of her stay will be called Penguin) rolled around our room.
While I painted and sanded, Steve was out in the gross heat, mowing and raking and generally cleaning up the front yard. Now it looks gre...much better :) Weeds and brown FL grass can only look so good :)

Newest cute thing/Movies in church?

As we were leaving for church Steve called me to the living room to check Keith out. Keith had just learned that he can suck on his bottom lip, and he did it repeatedly then and there for our entertainment :)
Once we got to church Pastor surprised us by showing an hour and a half documentary, rather than preaching. It was cautioning parents against the public school agenda. It was very moving. Even if I hadn't already determined to homeschool our children, this film would make me want to homeschool.

Memorial Day

Steve left for work at 5:50 am. After I got up and fed the little monster I made brownies while Keith watched from the living room.
Happy baby :)
On the way to church I stopped at Nate and Dani's, we are taking care of their chickens and watering their flowers while they're on vacation.
At 10:15 am I was the first one at church. James and Sara were right behind to unlock everything, and then nearly the whole church arrived with food and games.
We played some baseball, which I didn't get pictures of cuz I was playing too :)
About 12:30 we ate.

Then we played volleyball. Steve arrived in time for a game or two.
Way too much lunch, there, Mom!
Since it was over 90 degrees out there we ended up back inside. Most of the church folks left, and those that stayed played a very involved game of 6-player Catan. We either played or cheered on those that were playing.
Sleepy Daddy

After showering and feeding Keith we went to James and Sara's to play Catan again. We left at 11 and went to bed around midnight.
Keiffer woke me up at 5 this morning because he'd kicked off his blanket, and Steve left for work at 6:30.
We had a very fun, very full day!

Bus and a haircut

Steve was bus captain this morning. Keith and I rode the bus for the trip home. Keith did great with all the attention the little girls gave him. He fell asleep on Mia :)

Haircut Time!

Steve REEEEEEEEEEEALLY needed a haircut, so after church he finally got one.
 Before
 After
:) :) :)
Keith watched me cut his daddy's hair, and Pingue just rolled around in her little ball in the living room.

Pingue

Pronounced "Peen-quay", it means 'fat' in Italian.
This is our summer hamster. She's only about 3" long.
Her owner, Amy Faraj, is going home to Honduras this summer, I guess hamsters don't travel on airplanes too well :)
 Jon and Amy.

Mobile and Nursery

I hung some bright toys from Keith's packnplay mobile and now he entertains himself by staring at them for an hour or so in the afternoons.
I also moved his furniture around in the nursery.

He's getting so big!

Keith is almost big enough for this toy from Sara.
Sorry about the blurry head. He was moving :)
Speaking of heads, I think our monster is teething! He drools like a St. Bernard, and there's a white spot in the middle of his bottom gumline. He just started this drooling phase last week. He's been cranky, too.
Hmm...highly suspect if you ask me...

Date Night

Last night Keiffer and I picked up Steve from PCC. Steve had gotten me a massage for Mother's Day.
Rich and Nancy Greenwood babysat Keiffer while we were out.
He loves his Aunt Nancy and Uncle Richy :) :)
Actually, he is still working on drinking from a bottle, he doesn't have much practice at that.
After I fed Keith, we left him with the Greenwoods and hurried to Massage Envy. Traffic on hwy 29 was so bad (and the fact that we miscalculated how far out we needed to go to drop off Keith) that we were 30 minutes late for our appointment!
Needless to say, we paid for an hour and didn't want to be late, so getting there was a little stressful. The therapist didn't have anyone in the hour after me, though, so she gave me the full massage anyway!
After the most relaxing hour of my entire life we went to supper. We originally tried the Yangtze Buffet in Pensacola...the sign was still up, and they were advertising on multiple billboards, but when we got there it looked like the Chinese Mafia had come and gone. The building was deserted and part of the back was broken up. We found a Ruby Tuesday close by and went there instead. We both got a chicken dish with the salad bar. I had Southwestern BBQ chicken, and Steve got Chicken Bella, it has sauteed mushrooms and artichoke hearts on top. It was so yummy!

We got Keiffer about 9 o'clock and went home to bed. The little guy slept til 8:30 this morning, so I guess he was worn out :)

TBC Forty-third anniversary and Adam's graduation party

So in from GA at 1:30 and off to church a few hours later.
We stayed all day, then got home late.

GA Trip (2)

Relaxing and making some waves :)
Well, I did ride the jetski myself, but I had much more fun watching Steve and getting pictures :)

We got home about 1:30 Sunday morning.

Uncle Eddie, Aunt Mandy, and Erin came.

Uncle Eddie went with us out to Lake Weiss, in AL, and showed us how to use the jetski.
That's in Part 2.
