Looking quite the little man now.

KY bus conference trip

I actually got more pictures of the drives and Wednesday activities than of the conference, so bear with me :)
Tuesday we drove 12 hours.
We met Dad for supper and had a hard time saying good-bye.
Wednesday we explored Raven Run nature sanctuary before church.
He fell asleep on the hike and stayed asleep for half an hour in the sling.
Thursday and Friday were packed with six sermons, and 71 class sessions.
The emphasis was soul winning, not the bus. I was surprised and very convicted about how effective of a witness I am for The Lord.
He has Steve's bus captain hat.
Each night we met Jimmy and Sam and the four of us compared notes and ideas until midnight or so. Friday night we met at the mall there. Our guys are so crazy...
Saturday was another 12 hours of driving. Keith did so well!
It was an amazing trip, although it was exhausting, and Steve and I have many ideas for the bus ministry here.

Learning how to drink water.

Floor makeover

Our wooden parquet flooring in the living room has a plywood subfloor. The plywood was affected by all this rain we got and started swelling and bubbling. It broke loose the wood tiles and they cracked apart. Nate and Dani came over Monday evening to remove the tiles and replace the plywood.
Down to the original floor.
Steve and Nate decided that instead of replacing the wood parquet they'd extend the kitchen tiles all the way to the front door!
They worked all evening, then the rest of the week Steve and I finished it.
You am barely tell that the tiles are slightly lighter!
All done. :)

Happy birthday, Dad Bryan!

We met Dad and Mom Bryan at Carpenter's Park to celebrate his 61st birthday. Jason and Becky came with the kids, and James and Sara brought their girls. Nate and Dani had sick little ones, and John and Nessa were in Maine.
Too sunny!
That's better. Thanks Grandpa.
Mom made Chocolate Bavarian Torte.
Jason gave Keiffer ice cream. Mmmmm!!!!

Birthday present

For Dad Bryan's 61st birthday I decides to try making this sign. It was so easy that I made one for my parents, too!
"Grandchildren are God's compensation for growing older"

Growing like a...little boy

Not a weed, for sure!
So far this past week Keiffer has cut his second tooth and has been practicing crawling.
Teething on an apple slice.
Yummy!

Labor Day

Steve had to work today so I just did a ton of freezer cooking and sewing.
(Keith has cut his second bottom tooth, and now he is nearly crawling. He'll get up in all fours and just rock back an forth.)
When Steve got home he surprised me by having a babysitter lined up and we had the evening off!
~matching guys~
We wore sports fan t shirts to CFA for a free supper. Then we headed to Pensacola beach.
We walked the boardwalk, then sat by the water and talked til 8:30 when we had to head back :)
