Happy birthday, Steve!

I planned a surprise party for Steve, which wasn't a surprise, but still fun. Most of the family was able to come out to Whiting Park for a cookout. Adam brought his jetski and we got a few rides. Susie surprised Steve by coming Thursday night thru Saturday evening.

Camp out

Errr. Camp in.
Thanks for the glow sticks, Susie :)
Our little campfire, um, candlefire.
Ice cream and spooky stories, which were actually spooky and creepy, so we switched to Tom Thumb lol :)

Happy birthday, Steve!

Steve is 25!
We had Keith's "Uncle" Rich and "Aunt" Nancy over for dinner and Catan.
They brought Steve this Superman shirt, and a matching one for Keiffer!
After dinner, Nancy and Keith and I made funnel cakes while the guys set up the board.
They were good :)

House projects

Pastor Woody let me borrow the church projector Wednesday night. All day, Thursday, I was going around the house tracing quotes and verses on the walls with a Sharpie. I put one in every room, but one!
This was one of my favorites.

Laundry room

I'm going to use the church's projector on Thursday or Friday to copy quotes and verses all over my home. One was going to go in the laundry room, so I was inspired to paint it today. It is the last room in our house to get painted since I moved in.
Before.
After.
Susie was my inspiration for the happy bubbles.
And here's a cute baby.

Samurai fund :)

One of Steve's Christmas lights guys got us a box from his trip to Japan that we used to hold our loose change. Since we're saving for a handgun we dubbed it our samurai fund. After nearly two years of collecting change we have enough!
We counted them all out.
We have enough to get our pistol now! As long as it is under $300 :)

Saturday night

Not Catan! Whoa! We played Triopoly with James and Sara. It's a three-level monopoly game.
Sorry for the blur, Sara :)

My babies

Cute...
Not so cute...
Only not so cute cuz they tore three screens out so far.

7/4/13

Independence Day

We celebrated the fourth by finishing a home project,
Eating good food,
With nice folks,
Exercising the second amendment,
And seeing fireworks in the pouring rain.

Living room project

Steve and I put together this little entryway thingy in the past few days.
We got the supplies at Lowes.
It was under $25 for the whole project.
Painting with my little helper.

Babysitting

I got to come to Sara's and watch the girls while she went out this morning. They were behaved and played with Keith some, too!
"What is this vision of loveliness that has appeared before my play set?"

GA trip

We went up to Rome, GA on Saturday and came home Sunday night. Susie and Mimi hosted a birthday party for dad, who had just turned 50 :) It was a good family reunion. Elisabeth drove down from Wisconsin to be there. Uncle Johnny and Aunt Sandy came from OH, Luke came from SC, the rest of the family came from NC, and we came from FL, of course.

Granddaddy Corbett still has the touch.
Dad is a good telestrations artist...
