As we were leaving for church Steve called me to the living room to check Keith out. Keith had just learned that he can suck on his bottom lip, and he did it repeatedly then and there for our entertainment :)
Once we got to church Pastor surprised us by showing an hour and a half documentary, rather than preaching. It was cautioning parents against the public school agenda. It was very moving. Even if I hadn't already determined to homeschool our children, this film would make me want to homeschool.
that film was definitely incredible. When that man was telling his story about his son being killed in Columbine and he was blaming himself, I was bawling like a baby :-( I just can't even imagine. Yes, I was already determined too, even before the movie, because Jimmy grew up in public schools and knew what it was like. Unfortunately, what they didn't say is that it's almost the same in Christian school :-( Not the part about not being able to be salt and light because you can do that there, but the peer pressure is horrible, the things u learn from other students is horrible, the being afraid to say what you believe. It happens there too :-( I have always said, "just because it's a christian school does not mean everyone is a christian."
